SOLD - Duck Egg with Coloured Waxes Hall Table

This hall table has now sold.

We've given this hall table a classic makeover using a base of Duck Egg chalk paint and layers of coloured wax.

With a touch of Forgotten Gold glide, we love how this small hall table has been transformed!

Technique:

Painted all over in Duck Egg chalk paint using the round brush and painting with subtle texture. 

When painting the second coat we added touches of Rubbed Sage to create some shadowing and Dusty Millar to create some lighter areas.

We then sealed all over using a Tahr coloured wax made in a 1:1 paint:wax ratio. We brushed it on with our natural bristle brush and wiped the excess off with a lint-free rag.

We then made a slightly stronger Urban Loft coloured wax, applying it with our angled detail brush to create shadows, wiping the excess off with a clean lint-free rag.

We then made a stronger Firefly coloured wax. Again we applied it with the angled detail brush, this time to create highlights. We used our fine steel wool to blend it into the other coloured waxes.

To finish we added a touch of Forgotten Gold glide to the top, around the drawer and on the handle.
