Applying White Cloud Transfers

White Cloud Decor rub-on transfers are perfect for all your home decor and DIY projects. They are easy to use and are made right here in NZ.

In this blog post we will step you through how to apply White Cloud Transfers. We have done this technique on a journal, but you can do this on a range of different projects, including other craft projects and furniture.

White Cloud transfers come in a large range of designs to choose from which you can see here. They can also be custom made to create the perfect design for your next project (contact us for more information).  Once you have chosen your design, follow the steps below to apply the transfer to your project.

Read on for step-by-step instructions:

1 - Prepare your transfer by cutting around your transfer image. To prevent getting a halo around your transfer once it is applied, cut as close to the image as you can. 

2 - Remove the backing from the transfer.

3 - Place your transfer where you want it on your project. Note that the transfer will be very sticky, so once it's down you don't want to try and lift it up again.

4 - Using the stick provided, rub over the whole of your transfer. Make sure you rub over the whole image and ensure all the edges are down too.

5 - To remove the translucent film from the image, begin by holding the sheet with one hand. Carefully lift one corner using your nail and proceed slowly to ensure the image remains attached to the surface.

Do not pull the film straight up, use a side to side rolling motion.

6 - If the image doesn't separate easily, lay the sheet back down and continue rubbing until it detaches then try removing the sheet from another corner.
