Commission - Wild Tusk Bench - Not For Sale
We have updated this cute bench for our customer using Wild Tusk chalk paint and Matte lacquer.
This bench had extensive sun damage causing the varnish top coat to peel and blister. With a simple makeover using a roller for a super smooth finish, it now has many more years of life.
Technique:
Using the roller and angled brush, we applied the first coat of Wild Tusk premium chalk paint all over.
Once the first coat had dried we noticed bleed through across the back and top. We sealed this in with two coats of lacquer before continuing to paint with our Wild Tusk for full coverage.
Once we were happy with the coverage, we painted two top coats of Matte lacquer using our flat and angled brushes. We tinted the lacquer with a small amount of Wild Tusk chalk paint to keep the finish nice and white.
