Commission - Wild Tusk & Bach Blue Tallboy - Not For Sale
Our customer was inspired by a previous commission we had completed for a customer using Bach Blue, so commissioned us to paint a tallboy that we already had.
We decided to update the surround using Wild Tusk, our warm white, the drawer fronts were then completed in Bach Blue, a lovely soft grey based blue. Finally we used Forgotten Gold glide around the drawer edges to add depth and tie in with the fabulous agate knobs she sourced.
We love how this has come out and it is perfect for their home that is close to the beach!
Technique:
Firstly we painted the full surround of the tallboy in Wild Tusk chalk paint. We used the smooth roller for a nice and smooth finish.
We then painted the drawer fronts in Bach Blue chalk paint, also rolling with a smooth roller for a smooth finish.
We then waxed the entire piece with Clear wax. Brushing on with our wax brush and wiping the excess off with a lint-free rag.
Lastly, we applied the Forgotten Gold glide using a small artist brush. We applied this around the edges of the drawers.
