We have given this wonderfully shaped three tiered side table a refreshing makeover using washes of blues and satin lacquer.
With a base of Hokitika Gorge premium chalk paint and washes of Forget Me Not and Sea Glass, this table reminds us of long summer days. Sealed with lacquer for a durable finish, it would be perfect for a beach house.
Technique:
Painted all over in Hokitika Gorge for full coverage using our round brush. We painted with slight texture and used the angled detail brush to get to those hard to reach spots.
We then did a colour wash using Sea Glass chalk paint. We watered it down by 50% and brushed on in sections with our round brush and wiped it back with our lint free rag.
We then did a second colour wash in the same way, this time using Forget Me Not.
Once fully dry, we applied two coats of Satin lacquer using our flat and angled detail brushes.
