Commission - Starling & Indie Gold Chest - Not For Sale
This fab chest was given a complete transformation using Starling, Indie Gold and the Foliage Collector transfer from ReDesign with Prima!
Not in the best condition, our customer wanted us to create something a bit different that could work as a coffee table in her new cottage. Sealed with Gloss lacquer, this chest has come up fabulously and looks like a brand new piece!
Technique:
Painted all over in Starling chalk paint using our round brush. We painted with subtle texture to cover the scratches and dings in the original finish. We also painted over the existing metal work as a base for our Indie Gold.
Once we had full coverage, we used painters tape to mark out the metal pieces and then painted our Indie Gold for full coverage with our detail brush. We mixed the Indie Gold concentrate with the Illuminator for a strong mix.
We then applied our Foliage Collector transfer from ReDesign across each side and the top.
Lastly, we sealed the entire piece with two coats of Gloss lacquer using our flat brush.
