Leopard Print Coffee Table
This was a fun project that we completed just before lockdown started!
With a hot pink base, lots of leopard print and a touch of gold, it's a great reminder to have fun with paint and your interiors! We think that it would look amazing in a teen bedroom to add some fun and colour.
Technique:
We painted two coats of Orchid Chalk Paint with our Staalmeester pro-hybrid round brush. Orchid has great coverage and we only needed a second, watered-down coat, as this table had previously been black.
After lightly sanding the table to remove any bumps, we used a small artists brush to draw free-hand leopard spots using slightly watered down Victorian Black chalk paint.
We then went back over the spots with metallic gold and dabbed some on the legs too.
Finally, we sealed the whole piece with Satin lacquer for a nice, durable finish.
What We Used:
- Orchid Chalk Paint
- Victorian Black Chalk Paint
- Metallic Gold
- Satin Lacquer
- Staalmeester Pro-Hybrid Brush in size 18
- Small artists brush
- 240-grit Sandpaper
