In this free How To video we will walk you through how to tint your lacquer.
Our premium lacquer is hard wearing, mould and mildew resistant and designed for outdoors. It's hard wearing which makes it perfect for dining table tops, floors and outdoor furniture.
Tinting lacquer keeps the colour true and bright making it a great way to use lacquer on dark colours and whites.
Tools recommended in this video:
- Premium Chalk Paint - the same as your base colour
- Lacquer - any sheen works
- Staalmeester Flat Brush - 1-inch, 1.5-inch or 2-inch
- Can Opener
- Olive Soap - to wash your brush
Tips for tinting your lacquer:
- Stir your lacquer well before using.
- Decant lacquer into a bowl.
- Stir in 1 teaspoon of your chalk paint colour to 1 cup of lacquer (or 1/2 teaspoon to 1/2 cup etc).
- Stir well so that it is fully mixed in, and stir every now and then when using.
- Paint two coats of lacquer allowing 2 hours of drying time in between.
