When we got this old glory box in we knew we wanted to celebrate her with a fun and bright finish!
Using the new Mint by Michelle Ginger Jars decoupage paper in A1 to give a colourful statement and then finishing with Toulouse chalk paint, a wonderful light blue.
Although the glory box had previously been painted white, we gave the front panel a quick coat of Beluga chalk paint as the base for our decoupage paper.
We then applied the A1 decoupage paper using matte lacquer. Once dry we removed the excess paper and applied a top coat of lacquer.
We then painted the rest of the glory box in Toulouse chalk paint using our round brush. We painted with subtle texture and for full coverage.
Lastly we sealed the chalk paint with clear wax using our natural bristle brush and wiping the excess wax off with our lint-free rag.
