Faded Floral Bedside
Using decoupage and Vintro chalk paint we have created a beautiful faded floral effect on this sweet bedside table.
We started by painting the base of the bedside in dusky pink, using one part Stonebreaker to four parts Albert Bridge and one part Crystal chalk paint. We painted two coats for full coverage.
We then applied our rice papers using the Velo rice paper glue, creating our own design. Once dry we sealed with another coat of Velo glue and then two thin coats of Vintro lacquer.
We then mixed multiple colours together to create custom colours that worked with the original decoupage floral colours and used a spray bottle to create a watercolour effect.
To finish we sealed the whole piece in clear wax and then used Stonebreaker wax on the sections that were dusky pink.
