This is a great metallic finish that works really well with pieces that have carved details, eg. mirrors, frames or highly detailed pot stands.
For this paint recipe, we walk you through how to use our metallic creme in Pewter.
What you will need:
- Clubhouse Grey Chalk Paint
-
Pewter Metallic Creme
- Pro-Hybrid Round Synthetic Brush
- Spalter Brush
- Optional: Silver Gilding Wax
1 - Paint in Clubhouse Grey chalk paint using the round synthetic brush. Paint in large crosses to create texture. Do one - two coats for coverage.
2 - Using the spalter brush to brush your Pewter metallic creme over the entire piece. You may want to do two coats to flat surfaces for a more even finish and one coat to carved areas to allow the depth of colour to change throughout the whole piece.
3 - Optional: Detail the edges with Silver gilding wax, using either a finger or a detail brush.
