This set of Queen Anne style dresser and drawers has been given a complete makeover for our customer.
Painted in Old Chiffon Velvet Luxe Chalk Paint, a lovely creamy white, it has the Rose Celebration transfer across the entire front. We have used Velvet Luxe Hybrid Chalk Paint as it provides extra strength and durability to the furniture while giving a smooth finish.
We painted the whole dresser in Old Chiffon Velvet Luxe Chalk Paint using our Staalmeester flat brush. We used the Velvet luxe version to give a smooth finish. As we had some bleed through, we used Lacquer to seal in any spots before painting our top coats.
We then applied the Rose Celebration transfer by ReDesign to the front of the drawers, letting it curve around the sides and down the legs. This transfer comes in six sections which we applied left to right, starting with the top two sections and working down.
For the dresser we used the middle section of the transfer and then used extra pieces to curve down the legs.
Once we made sure the transfers had fully adhered, we applied clear wax with our wax brush over them and wiped off the excess with a clean rag. We only applied wax over the transfers as the Velvet Luxe Chalk Paint has lacquer pre-built into the formula and doesn't need to be sealed.
This was originally painted in Vintro paints but we have updated the colours below for The Artisan Company premium paint range.
