A recent commission for one of our customers. We updated these bedsides using Carbon Black chalk paint and Satin lacquer for a durable finish.
These were the perfect size and shape for our customers room but had been badly sun damaged. By updating them with a smooth black finish, we were able to bring them back to life and to fit in with our customers contemporary home.
We lightly sanded the sun damaged top to smooth out the rough and flaking polyurethane on the top and sealed it with a coat of lacquer.
We then rolled two coats of Carbon Black, using our Angled Detail brush to cut in the feet and joins before rolling over for a smooth finish.
Once dry, we tinted our Satin lacquer with half a teaspoon of Carbon Black chalk paint and hand brushed two coats using our Flat brush.
