This hall table has now sold.
This solid mahogany hall table has been given a new lease of life using an Efex moulding, Green House chalk paint, dark wax and gold glide.
Technique:
We applied the T34 Efex trim to the sides of the hall table using Ados F2 contact adhesive. As the Efex mouldings are made of latex, they are easy to cut to size and can be applied to curved surfaces.
Once dry, we painted in Green House premium chalk paint, using our round brush to create some subtle texture. We did two full coats and some touch ups for full coverage.
We then sealed with a mix of Clear and Dark wax using our natural bristle brush and wiping the excess off with a lint-free rag. Making sure to create shadows in the moulding and carved details.
Lastly, we applied Forgotten Gold glide to the moulding, feet, handle and top edge to create highlights a shine. We applied using our finger.
