Stacking tables are really useful to have at home as they tuck away nicely and then can come out when you need them. However, the tops often get damaged from wear and tear or they can be the wrong colour for your decor.

We've given these two a bright makeover with Peacock Chalk Paint and our Delicate Fleur transfer from ReDesign with Prima.

Stacking tables make a great first project and if you don't have any at home, you can easily find them in second-hand or charity shops and online.

We painted both tables in Peacock Chalk Paint with our Staalmeester pro-hybrid brush for full coverage.

Once the paint was fully dry, we chose the Delicate Fleur transfer to go on the top. We cut out flowers into a design that we liked and practiced placing them before removing the backs so we knew what order to layer them.

Starting with the transfer we wanted to be at the bottom, we took off the backing and gently placed it on the top of the table. Using the wooden stick that comes with the transfer, we gently rubbed until it had adhered to the tabletop. We then continued this until we had finished our design. Lightly using our fingers to make sure that all of the edges were pressed down.

Once we had placed all of the transfers, we then brushed on clear wax with our natural bristle brush and wiped off the excess with a rag. We did this to seal the chalk paint and the transfers.
