SOLD - Rustic French Farmhouse Table

This table has been given a rustic French farmhouse makeover. With lots of texture and detail, this is a beautiful table and is a look that is lots of fun to achieve.

Technique:

Using the natural bristle brush we painted Old Espresso on with lots of texture using plenty of paint. To speed up drying we used a hot hairdryer and then manipulated the paint to form a porridge-like consistency. Once it was half dry we pulled the paint in one direction so that it formed wood-like knots. Once fully air-dryed we lightly sanded any loose bits of paint and then applied our waxes with the natural bristle brush. The first wax we used was the dark wax and then we used Carbon Black to make our second wax.

For the legs, we first painted in Beluga using our round synthetic brush. We then applied a layer of dark wax, making sure to get in the details. For sections where we wanted it a bit lighter, we applied a Wild Tusk wax.
