Commission - Romantic Roses Demi-Lune Table - Not For Sale
Our customer saw one of our side tables with the Romantic Roses decoupage paper and realised it would be the perfect fit for her demi-lune side table that had travelled around the world with her and was awaiting for an update!
We applied the Romantic Roses Mint by Michelle paper to the top and then painted the base in Rubbed Sage. We sealed with white wax for a soft French feel and finished with some Vienna Champagne glide.
Technique:
We painted the top with a base of Beluga chalk paint to provide a nice base for our decoupage paper. We then applied the A1 Romantic Roses to the top, placing the paper to get a good section of the roses. We applied and then sealed with two top coats of Gloss lacquer using our round brush.
We then painted the rest of the table in Rubbed Sage using our round brush and cutting in with our angled detail brush. We painted with subtle texture and for full coverage.
To seal the chalk paint we applied a white wax mixing Beluga chalk paint with our clear wax in a 1:1 ratio. We brushed it on with our natural bristle brush and wiped the excess off with a clean lint-free white rag.
Lastly we applied Vienna Champagne glide to the top and the knob using our artist detail brush. We applied it for full coverage to give a full gilded look.
