These stacking side tables have been given a royal makeover with red and gold.
We used Brickyard chalk paint, a stunning deep red, and then highlighted the scalloped edges with Gold gilding wax. Buffed to a shine, these red and gold side tables have an old-world feel to them.
Technique:
We painted two coats of Brickyard Chalk Paint using our Staalmeester pro-hybrid brush and our detail brush for full coverage.
Once dry we sealed with clear wax using a natural bristle brush, wiping the excess off with a rag.
We then used our detail brush to apply the gold gilding wax to the scalloped edges. Removing any smudges with clear wax. We left the gilding wax to dry for 60 minutes and then buffed it with a clean rag. This pulled some of it back showing the red paint for an aged feel.
