This plain, solid wood blanket box, was given a complete makeover using a custom mix olive green, with charcoal wax and an Efex trim for extra detail.
Technique:
We added the Efex trim using Ados F2 contact adhesive. Once dry we painted in a custom mix of Vintro chalk paint colours, to create a beautiful olive green. We painted with our round pro-hybrid brush in all directions to create subtle texture. We then create 'age spots' by flicking watered-down Midnight chalk paint using an old artist brush. We finished with a light Midnight coloured wax to create age and depth and blended with clear wax and added a very light touch of gold gilding wax to bring faded charm to the moulding.
