Commission - Midnight Bedsides - Not For Sale
Our lovely customers loved the shape and texture of their bedsides but wanted them to be darker to fit with their bedroom.
We used Clubhouse Grey chalk paint and Carbon Black wax to achieve this.
Technique:
Painted in two thin coats of Clubhouse Grey chalk paint using the pro-hybrid brush to make sure that all of the texture from the existing wood grain would be covered.
We then brushed on Carbon Black coloured wax in one direction using our natural bristle brush and wiping the excess wax off with a rag. By brushing and wiping in one direction only, we were able to create shadows and highlights to mimic the natural age of real wood.
