This Art Deco styled blanket box has been given a new lease of life with Royal Navy and metallic gold.
Technique:
Painted in Royal Navy chalk paint in all directions to create subtle texture. We then painted the top and sides in two coats of Classic Gold Metallic Creme.
We sealed the chalk paint with Obsidian Blue coloured wax in a wax:chalk paint ratio of 1:1. We used Dark Wax to lightly age the gold and finished the edges in Gold Gilding wax.
