This bedside has been sold.
Using decoupage and premium chalk paint we have created a beautiful faded floral effect on this sweet bedside table.
Technique:
We started by painting the base of the bedside in Bruised Petal. We painted two coats for full coverage.
We then applied our rice papers using the Velo rice paper glue, creating our own design. Once dry we sealed with another coat of Velo glue and then two thin coats of matte lacquer.
We then mixed multiple colours together to create custom colours that worked with the original decoupage floral colours and used a spray bottle to create a watercolour effect.
To finish we sealed the whole piece in clear wax and then used Potters Clay wax on the sections that were dusky pink.
