This demi-lune, solid mahogany hall table was given a glam update with an aged gold paint effect.

Technique:

We painted in Old Espresso as our base colour with subtle texture, this gave the gold metallic a surface to adhere to. We then painted our first coat of gold metallic straight from the tin, again with subtle texture. For the second coat of gold, we added a few drops of Old Espresso to create contrast and age. We then finished with a coat of dark wax using our natural bristle brush and wiping the excess off, making sure to concentrate the dark wax in areas that would naturally show age and patina.

This was originally painted in a mix of Vintro and The Artisan Company paints but we have updated the colours below for The Artisan Company premium paint range.
