These large white bedside tables needed a new lease on life. We transformed these and refreshed them with a subtle French Rustic textured look. Finished with clear and dark waxes and gold gilding wax pulls this piece together.
Technique:
We painted the bedsides in Burmese chalk paint, a beautiful warm cream, using our round Staalmeester brush creating texture as we painted.
After a second coat of Burmese, we sealed all over with Clear Wax and Dark Wax (mixed together) to bring out the details, and then used just the Dark Wax around the edges, handles and outline of the drawers to bring out a bit more detail. We then finished with a subtle hint of gold gilding wax around the drawers, handles and outline of the bedsides to pull everything together.
