This wine table is now sold.
We love the practicality of wine tables but the standard brown high-gloss finish doesn't suit modern homes.
We decided to go all out with this wine table and have completed it in Classic Gold for a fabulous and impactful finish! Being a smaller piece the Classic Gold can provide plenty of impact without overpowering a room.
Technique:
Painted in Firefly Velvet Luxe using a flat brush for a smooth finish. As this was highly glossy, we keyed the finish with 180 grit sandpaper first to allow our Velvet Luxe to fully grip.
We then painted a few coats of Classic Gold metallic creme until we got full coverage. We used a combination of the spalter and angled detail brushes. These both have very fine bristles which give a more flawless finish when using the metallics.
